There are a number of theories out there on the length of time to form a new habit. The most common answer is 21 days, but that is a bit of a myth.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FORM A HABIT?

On average, it's about 66 days for new behaviours to become a habit. But this is an average. So the actual number of days needed to turn behaviours into habits can vary from person to person, ranging from 18 days to 254 days. [1]

Essentially the goal is to continue until the behaviour feels automatic.

Is it ok to miss a day? Yes, just try to get back on track.

The longer you leave it, the harder may be to get back on track and then the longer it’ll take for the habit to form.

It doesn’t matter if you mess up every now and then. Building better habits is not an all-or-nothing process.

So how long does it take?

It doesn’t really matter.

Whether it takes 30 days or 300 days, you have to put in the work either way.

And whether it takes 30 or 300, you have to start with Day 1.

That is where we want to help you. With day 1 and all the days it takes to help you build that habit.
